Gran noticia la que llega desde Los Angeles, donde este lunes se han anunciado las candidatos a los Premios Oscar 2020 y la película española ‘Dolor y Gloria’, dirigida por Pedro Almodóvar, ha sumado dos nominaciones como mejor película extranjera y como mejor actor protagonista por la actuación de Antonio Banderas.
‘Dolor y Gloria’ competirá en su categoría contra las películas ‘Les Misérables’ (Francia), ‘Honeyland’ (Macedonia del Norte), ‘Corpus Christi’ (Polonia) y ‘Parásitos’ (Corea del Sur), mientras que Antonio Banderas buscará el Oscar frente a Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Adam Driver (Historia de un matrimonio), Leonardo DiCaprio (Érase una vez en… Hollywood) y Jonathan Pryce (Los Dos Papas).
Desde 2004, con la victoria de ‘Mar adentro’ de Alejandro Amenábar, una película española no optaba a ser considerada como la mejor película extranjera y veremos si Almodóvar logra repetir estatuilla tras haber ganado el Oscar por el Mejor guión original por ‘Hable con ellas’ en 2002.
